Wow, 2019 was an incredible year! With the help of an amazingly talented software engineering team and fantastic customers, Shed Suite grew by 120% in 2019!

We learned a lot, and I am very grateful to be working on such an innovative app with our team and customers! I wake up every day and feel blessed to be able to do what I love in creating helpful tools to grow Shed Companies.

We have seen ALL of our customer’s business grow in 2019 and that is so satisfying and motivating!

We’re rolling in to 2020 with an excitement to improve and grow to serve our customers at the next level. We have identified some key trends happening across the industry over the last 2 years and are excited to innovate and evolve Shed Suite to support those trends.

The number 1 trend we have seen in the shed industry overall has been the push to sell sheds online. This seems pretty obvious since I now spend more on Amazon than I do at Target or Walmart. Selling sheds online is a great idea and we have seen some shed companies doing a pretty good job of it. But selling online comes with quite a few challenges. The main ones being the complexity involved with allowing a customer to customize a shed and buy it online while supporting a complex buying option like RTO, all the while having the order feed into an order management system.

One of our core missions at Shed Suite is to eliminate data silos at shed companies. What we have seen is that shed companies have put together sets of tools that they use to run their business and each one may work ok for it’s own purpose, but it’s a major challenge to get all those tools to sync up and not create a bunch of extra manual work for the admin team. These tools are things like a CRM, Inbound Marketing Platform, a Point of Sale, Accounting Software, a Manufacturing and Costing Software(ERP or MRP), a Logistics and delivery scheduling tool, and the list can go on.

As you can imagine, it’s a pretty massive task to build one software tool that encompasses a custom, feature rich version of each of these tools that is specifically designed for shed companies, but this is all part of the challenge. Realizing the insight, control and flexibility this kind of software will give shed companies is what keeps us pushing forward to grow and add innovative functionality to Shed Suite.

We’re excited about what lies ahead and we are grateful to be innovating with great companies!

Until next time, God Bless,
